Project EcoSol "Economic Solar Energy" Simulation and Control | ||||||||
EcoSol is a programme to calculate the energy and cost savings obtained by using solar collectors, heat pumps, solar cells and other energy sources in domestic applications. EcoSol permits configurations where the solar collectors and absorbers are used as low temperature reservoir for a heat pump. Based on a given low temperature and electrical energy consume, an optimum configuration and operation mode for solar collectors, heat pumps, and other energy converters can be found. In the control mode, EcoSol obtains weather data from a remote weather station using a local WLAN and calculates optimum operation parameters for the system. Also via WLAN, a voltage and current generator is connected to EcoSol and generates control signals for a collector fluid pump and a heat pump.
